Position Summary:
The American International School is looking to hire a Vice-Principal (Administration) who is a key member of the school’s senior leadership team. He/She oversees all non-curriculum areas. He/She ensures resources are managed efficiently. He/She leads the non-teaching staff such as executive and administrative staff to provide administration and daily support. He/She takes care of student affairs and plans for student placement. He/She also handles scholarship matters and all other student programs. The Vice Principal (Administration) should have a passion for education and working with youths. He/She works along with the School Principal on school plans.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operational Management
- Oversee daily school operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with the school’s mission.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems.
- Manage non-academic staff (administration, facilities, IT, HR, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (health & safety, labor laws, etc.).
- Financial Oversight
- Lead budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting in collaboration with the finance team.
- Monitor expenditures, procurement, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Oversee tuition billing, payroll, vendor contracts, and financial reporting.
- Work with auditors and regulatory bodies for financial compliance.
- Facilities & Safety
- Manage school infrastructure, maintenance, and security.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and functional learning environment.
- Oversee emergency preparedness (fire drills, safety protocols, crisis management).
- Plan and supervise facility upgrades, renovations, and expansions.
- Admissions & Enrollment
- Support admissions strategy and enrollment management.
- Optimize admissions processes for efficiency and parent/student satisfaction.
- Analyze enrollment trends and recommend improvements.
- Marketing & Communications
- Develop and execute the school’s marketing strategy to enhance brand visibility and attract prospective families.
- Oversee digital marketing (website, SEO, social media, email campaigns) and traditional marketing (brochures, events, ads).
- Manage the school’s public image, including media relations and crisis communications.
- Track marketing KPIs (website traffic, inquiry conversions, social media engagement).
- Human Resources & Staff Support
- Oversee HR functions (recruitment, onboarding, performance management).
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and school policies.
- Foster staff professional development and operational training.
- Technology & Systems
- Oversee IT infrastructure, software, and digital tools for administrative and academic needs.
- Implement and manage school information systems (SIS, ERP, CRM).
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with parents, faculty, board members, and external partners.
- Address operational concerns and improve community relations.
- Support school events, communications, and marketing efforts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or any other related field.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in marketing/brand management, community services (school marketing experience will be an added advantage)
- Must be able to juggle multiple projects as well as manage a team at the same time
- Must be a self-starter, able to handle responsibilities without supervision
- Have excellent communication skills and must be willing to adapt to the demands of an international school
- Be well organized and have the ability to cope with and work under pressure
- Have experience working with a diverse multi-disciplinary team in a school setting.
- Possess excellent leadership and management skills
- Task focused, Proactive and Disciplined with a sense of integrity.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Willing to work long hours as required.
Knowledge of strategy development and implementation
