How to apply? 

Thank you for choosing the American International School for your child’s education. Our dedicated admissions team is here to guide you through the application process. Follow these straightforward steps to apply:

 

Step 1: Download our application form [Here] and complete it.

 

Step 2: Submit the following documents via email to info@Ais.edu.krd or WhatsApp at +9640751 741 4104:

• Copy of the applicant’s passport
• Latest school reports
• Additional detailed reports may be requested by the Admissions Committee.

 

For international enrollments outside the KRG/Iraq, parents of grade 2 and above students should complete the Transfer Certificate and Report Cards equalization process before leaving their current country of residence.

 

Required Documents:

• Copy of the student’s passport
• Translated progress reports from the last two years (with an official stamp)
• Copy of recent Standardized Assessments results (MAP, CAT4, etc.)
• Copies of any previously identified special educational needs, including individual educational plans.

 

Step 3: Contact the school to book an admission test.

 

Step 4: Your child will be invited for an assessment to ensure they can follow our curriculum. The Admissions Committee reviews the complete student file, and additional assessments or interviews may be required in certain cases.

 

Step 5: Acceptance

Secure your child’s seat with a non-refundable registration fee of $450 within 7 days of receiving the offer. Once confirmed, you’ll receive a starter pack welcoming your family to the American International School in Duhok.

 

Required Documents for Accepted Students:

 

1. Copy of the student’s Iraqi national ID (both sides)
2. Copy of the student’s Medical Report
3. Copy of the student’s photo
4. Copy of the parent’s passports
5. Copy of the parent’s Iraqi national ID (both sides)
6. Copy of the parent’s Residency Visa (Non-Iraqi Citizenship)
7. Copy of the Iraq Governmental Provision Card
8. Previous school’s Transfer Certificate
9. Completion of the student’s Medical Form
10. Completion of the student’s Pick-up Authorization Form
11. Completion of the Emergency Contact Form
12. Completion of the Photography/Social Media Permission Form
