Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten

Early Years

A caring start where play, inquiry, and purposeful routines help young children grow as confident learners.

The early years build important academic, social, emotional, and physical foundations. AIS gives children a nurturing balance of structure and exploration in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten.

Teachers guide developmentally appropriate experiences that invite children to ask questions, communicate, collaborate, move, create, and discover.

How Children Learn

Play-based learning, inquiry, learning centers, hands-on experiences, and structured routines make learning active and meaningful.

Social & Emotional Development

Children practice expressing needs and feelings, listening to others, cooperating, and building positive relationships.

Learning Experiences

Literacy, numeracy, science, art, music, movement, storytelling, and collaboration support whole-child growth.

Confidence, Independence, and Belonging

Students are supported in developing responsibility, respect, independence, and a sense of belonging within the classroom and wider school community.

Kindergarten Readiness Outcomes

By the end of Kindergarten, students are prepared to enter elementary school with age-appropriate foundations in literacy and numeracy, growing confidence in communication, and experience following routines and working independently and with others.

The program encourages curiosity and a lasting love of learning while recognizing that every child develops at an individual pace.
