Under the direction of the Director of Academic Affairs, the Academic Coordinator supports the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the school’s academic programs and systems. The Coordinator works closely with Heads of Department, teachers, TOSAs, Student Affairs, Inclusion, Wellness, the library, and other relevant departments to ensure that academic expectations are communicated, implemented, documented, and followed consistently.
The Academic Coordinator assists with curriculum implementation, assessment administration, academic data, teacher support, student placement, academic platforms, and daily academic operations. The position supports the Director of Academic Affairs in translating school-wide priorities into organized procedures and timely follow-up. Strategic decisions, policy approval, budget authority, and final academic decisions remain with the Director of Academic Affairs and Principal.

program and ensuring that students requiring additional academic, behavioral, social-emotional,
or learning support receive appropriate services and accommodations to access the curriculum
successfully.
The Inclusion Coordinator identifies students requiring support, coordinates intervention
services, develops and monitors Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), collaborates with teachers
and families, and ensures accommodations are implemented consistently across all learning
environments.
The Inclusion Coordinator serves as the school's lead specialist in inclusive education and works
closely with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Heads of Department, teachers, families, and
external specialists to promote student success. The Inclusion Coordinator reports directly to the
Director of Academic Affairs.

The American International School – Duhok (AIS) is seeking a highly capable, proactive, and organized Operations Assistant to provide direct support to the Director of School Operations and assist in the coordination, documentation, and continuous improvement of the school’s operational functions.
This is a cross-functional role supporting Information Technology (IT), Supply chains, Asset Management, Maintenance & Facilities, Security & Transportation, Reception & Front Office, Accreditation & Compliance, and general school operations.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sound judgment, initiative, digital competence, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to quickly understand new systems and processes. The position requires excellent follow-through and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision
Scope of the Role
The Operations Assistant is a cross-functional and coordination position and does not replace the authority or accountability of the officers, coordinators, or supervisors responsible for specialized operational areas.
The Operations Assistant may coordinate activities, maintain documentation, monitor progress, follow up on assigned actions, assist with developing procedures, and support implementation. Decisions requiring financial, procurement, technical, security, personnel, or other delegated authority remain with the appropriately authorized staff.
