Tech Day at American International School/Duhok was an extraordinary event, showcasing the innovative prowess of our students. Over 53 enthusiastic participants delved into various technology projects, making it a day to remember.
The highlight of the day was the unveiling of cutting-edge projects by our talented students. Among the showcased projects were the creation of four remarkable robots, all designed and programmed by the students themselves. These included two large Lego robots and two medium-sized ones. One third-grade student, in particular, captured everyone’s attention by questioning the reliance on imported games, advocating for local game development in Kurdistan.
A staggering array of 28 games were exhibited, ranging from classics like ROBLOX and PONG GAME to more intricate creations like CHASE GAMES and FLYING GAMES. The students poured their hearts into developing these games, showcasing their creativity and technical skills.
Furthermore, students showcased their knowledge beyond mere gaming, with presentations on topics such as the base isolation system, illustrated through compelling videos. Additionally, three AIS students crafted their own stories and animated cartoons, complete with recorded soundtracks and video montages.
The spirit of innovation was palpable as more than seven students presented their colossal robot creations, programmed using Python language. From “Jemmi Robot” to “Blast” and “Gelo,” each creation was a testament to the dedication and hard work invested by our students.
Moreover, over 14 students took the stage to elucidate on various subjects including mathematics, science, AI, ChatGPT, and engineering, demonstrating practical applications through programming.
Above all, Tech Day was a celebration of our students’ talents and their tireless efforts. Parents and attendees marveled at the ingenuity and confidence displayed by our students as they navigated through complex technological concepts. It was truly a remarkable day, highlighting not only the technical prowess but also the exemplary character of our students.
